Tramway Challenge 2020

George Templer may not have been much of a business man but he sure knew how to throw a party! 🎉🍾
When the Haytor Granite Tramway was opened on 16th September 1820 there was a huge fanfare with invited guests, speeches, picnics and a brass band.
To mark its 200th anniversary this year we'd love to see you holding your own celebrations, at Haytor or at home.
📸 Take a photo and send it to us to be part of the virtual event taking place on the Wednesday 16th September 👉 www.dartmoor.gov.uk/tramwaychallenge

Daily Walks on the granite Tramway

I am very fortunate to have the Granite Tramway on my doorstep, it is the tramways 200 th Birthday this year and we were making plans to celebrate before Covid 19
Now I am quietly celebrating it by sun printing plants that I find on my daily walks
Sun Printing is primitive photography using cyanotype chemicals and Sunshine to capture the plants onto paper and material.
This is me on the tramway collecting Cow Parsley and Water Dropwart. I will show you the prints I have created tomorrow
